Imagine for a minute, if you had to build your MTI cat the same way we did. The amount of people in our hobby would almost completely go away. Who would develop new motors for such a small crowd. Why would communities give up parks and lakes for 2 and 3 man clubs. Fiberglass shops like ours and the very few that have chosen model boats to develop and produce could surely take easier routes. But we have a passion for this hobby. We start with a subject that we think modelers will want. From there it is literally hundreds of hours of labor. Plugs like the MTI (pictured) weigh as much as 75 pounds. When you buy a copy you might get a better price, but you do not get a better value.
